ABOUT ME

well, here we are

...The awkward part where I talk about myself. I live in Northern Virginia with my family, quote movies too much, and apparently have a weird obsession with hexagonal design (BEES?!).

I spend much of my free time on (making and playing) video games, board games, and catching up on the latest fantasy & sci-fi shows. I swear I'm less nerdy than I sound. Probably.

I start new projects every day... some of them I even finish! Athlete, jack of all trades, hustler, builder: if you need someone who can figure it out, wire it up, and push it over the line, I'm ready to crush it for you.

CAREER PATH

same pattern, different rooms.

Read on for a summary of the main stopping points through my career. Across engineering, operations, product, and now AI implementations... the work kept changing but the pattern stayed the same: understand the system, find the constraint, and turn the messy middle into something people can actually use.

Phoenix Strategies

Currently running my business Phoenix Strategies and spinning out personal projects with what I'm now calling Prometheus Labs: building AI-enabled operations tools, legal-ops support systems, finance automations, mobile apps, analytics workflows, and software.

10 YEARS · UBER

Uber - Ops & Product Leadership

Spent a decade at Uber wearing more hats than I can count. I started in city operations for Uber's first launch wave of 'remote' markets across the east coast (read: managing cities with no on-the-ground presence), moved into Strategy & Planning, then became Chief of Staff to the US&C Operations RGM. Migrated to the hardware / supply chain side of the business while Uber owned JUMP bike / scooter-share. Spent the last years in Product Operations first on global driver experience initiatives, then leading Uber's grocery delivery experience team.

Nuclear risk analysis

Developed probabilistic risk models, failure-mode analyses, and technical reports for nuclear power plants. Worked with teams on early development of the AP1000 plant archetype. Led a global team tasked with post-Fukushima fallout assessment.

Engineering Physics

Graduated from UConn with a BSE of Engineering Physics focusing on Mechanical engineering. The goal at the time was to become a rollercoaster designer. Times change, plans change... doing that is still on the 'someday' list. In the meantime, I've continued applying a problem-solving mindset to everyday work throughout my career.
